1 9 6 1 "BSA" 500 Gold Star Catalina -Scrambler in Ventura, CA

Whether running Scrambles, TT?s or Desert Racing, this BSA model was competitive and won races in all of them. Almost all were destroyed in the desert and on tours through the woods. This remains in incredibly great original and unrestored. Original chrome and blue paint tank is undamaged. Even the tiny gold pin stripe is still mostly there. Retains the cool and original Catalina Scrambler decal on tank that commemorates the 1956 win at Catalina Island and was the reason this model exists. Engine is 500cc with large fin alloy barrel and compression release. Light as they could make it for the era. Near open pipe with peashooter baffle. Cool looking chrome pipes, tank side, and airbox as the factory supplied.Alloy oil tank and chrome fenders. All stock and original to this bike. This is definition of survivor, original, all over.
